Distilled water through reverse osmosis is water sterilization by forcing water to be filtered by a series of semi-permeable membranes. While it is a proven sterile and safe water for drinking, the disadvantages outweigh the benefits. Distilled Water via Reverse Osmosis process, has been sterilized to be devoid of bacteria, however, the downside is the distillation process also took away all the nutrients beneficial to our system, which, over time causes the immune system to weaken. Secondly this process results to a low pH level which contributes to acidosis or lack of oxygenated cells essential for cell renewal. Acidic environments, as we all know, promote degenerative diseases spurring from bacteria and other microorganisms. Daily consumption may weaken the immune system which makes the human body all the more susceptible to diseases, aging and cancer.
